When founder of  No One Without Gaston Javurek contacted me to use some of my props and help direct a shoot for his new for purpose apparel company … I was more then ecstatic!  It was for a great cause and I was excited to get a chance to help direct of course!  It was quite a challenging day as we had to chase the rain… but then we were loving it as it added such a cool contrast in the final pictures!  Gotta love those amazing accidents.  Photos were all shot by Nick Holmes…he rocked!  Kelli Dunavant, No One Without’s COO and stylist got all the awesome wardrobe together  and worked with me to coordinate what we wanted to shoot. I want to thank our amazing models as well, braving the rain…and making my job easy!

Both wing back chairs are mine (they are not pictured on my site).

I LOVED these shots!  The sky looked so amazing too.  Chairs are mine but the bike was not…though I wished it was!

This guys mustasche was insane!  And yes it is real…

I had some fun with this shot.  I threw in some old windows (circa 40′s)…

…one of the last shots of the day!  I was so in love with all the fall leaves…everyone had so much fun as you can see…no fake smiles necessary .

Although I am a true lover of all things black… when summer comes around, I do try to bring out some color.  Love the bold colors of this dress and the stripes!

My heart maybe skipped a beat when I saw the new spring 2011 ads for Chanel!  Maybe because I styled a setting simular to this a few months ago (shot by Jessica Claire)… sigh.

I was beyond ecstatic when I got asked by Cortnie from canvasandcanopy to help on this amazing inspiration shoot for Nonpareil magazine for their December issue!  She knew I would have a few pieces that would fit for the shoot but Cortnie definitely worked her magic and gathered it all herself!  When we got to the location ( Santa Barbara museum ), I kept getting distracted as our photographer Elizabeth Messina also brought some insane antique pieces…okay maybe I was drooling!  It was definitely an all day event and although tedious I just love setting it all up!  I was blown away by all of the vendors who collaborated  on this shoot, you could tell they were all very excited about the creativity and unexpectedness of the shoot!  Here are some images I just could not live without:

For all of the amazing photos please check out the issue of NONPAREIL Magazine.  Cupcake above by mysweetandsaucy.

Hair and make up by Fiore Beauty was flawless.  I was in love with this necklace and Cortnie chose the most perfect dress to channel this “Shipwreck/bohemian” feel.

Flowers were by La Partie events, and headpiece by Lo Boheme.   The table set up shown below was so whimsical… and FULL of amazing details.

One of my favorite details was the hand dyed yarn that Cortnie made for the chairs.

    Laura Hooper provided the Calligraphy…

A fun way to display seating cards, and a map of mine to show off the boutineers.

Bride and Groom chair… Elizabeth capturing a sweet moment..

A vintage suitcase and a trunk full of treasures…

Of course I have to end this post with this sweet shot through the netting… and some killer designer shoes.

Thank you to Cortnie for letting me be a part of this amazing shoot…a great experience indeed.  This shoot was also featured on Green wedding shoes!

Fur.  You have to rock it with attitude.  I love how classic it is and how every year it can get a new modern twist.  I am so excited that it is cold enough to wear now, us Orange county girls have only a small window to do so!

I could not resist and just bought this vintage goat hair clutch circa 1960′s!  Cannot wait to take her out…

I thought this dress was so fun and flirty!  This one is made by Lanvin, a favorite designer line of mine.  I love the small veil as well, this is perfect for the reception after for the girl who is planning on dancing all night!

I was very excited to work again with the very talented Edmund Prieto.  He has such a cool style and is always up for anything, which I love!  When I found out he was having a shoot in a desert basin I knew I had to be a part of it.  I immediately pictured the shoot to be a little bit industrial, but with some glamor thrown in it.  I had this great metal and wooden bench I have been wanting to use and paired it with my zebra rug to give that glamor feel.  I talked to the lovely Christine, who was going to be the model for the shoot and she said she had this great bubble, black dress… to which of course I said that was perfect for the shoot!  I had her also bring a great bold/glam necklace and bracelet and topped it off with a feather hairpiece of mine from my wardrobe!  For Johnny, I wanted him to be more simple so I had him wear a crisp white shirt and nice jeans to compliment the industrial vibe.  It was a little crazy because on the actual day of the shoot, I knew I was not able to be there but with the help of Edmund…and a few phone calls… we were able to get it done!

Edmund also set up hair and make up to be done by Kaycee marie and I LOVED it!

Don’t you just love black and white photos?  I do!  The lighting is gorgeous and it just give it a more drama…

I would have to say this is  my favorite shot of the day.  I love how all the props came together!  I added a fun, blue pillow (from my own house) to add a pop of color.

This dress is actually a vintage nightgown!  (from my prop wardrobe).  I wanted to make it more modern so I had her add a black belt and some great blue shoes (Christine’s).   Felt so blessed to style this shoot and of course use my props… for more great photos check out Edmund\’s blog!

I love the internet, you can find just about anything!  After watching one of my guilty pleasure shows (which shall remain nameless for now), I spot some great jewelry that a girl was wearing.  Well after searching in google for a bit I found it!  The line is called Alex and Chloe.  I am a huge fan of edgy jewelry, they always make such a bold statement and never go unnoticed!  Loving the brunette one pictured below…watch out blonde’s!  The Paris one reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw’s necklace from Sex and the City… I miss that show so much…
