Fall is just around the corner and I cannot wait!  Just for fun I thought I would share some stuff I am looking forward to:

First off… my favorite show: New Girl.  I also just LOVE Zoe.

Leggings, booties and blazers…need I say more?!

I NEED to find these pants!  I am loving all things sparkly these days…

    Red lips…

…SO it has been quite some time since I have blogged.  I have been asked by so many people, why I have not had any new posts up and I say, well it has been quite a year!  I do feel better when many other vendors have admitted that they can get crazy behind on their blogs…it is because they are working so much they literally have not time and always working on the next project!  Still, no excuses why it has been this long, but I pride myself in always keeping it real and will always continue to do so.

This last year was amazing.  I was able to work with so many amazing people and was lucky enough to be asked to be a part of some awesome shoots.  As many vendors also know, I did have to split my time with another job and will admit it was hard to juggle at times but I made it happen.  Along with that, I was starting to see a change in what I was being needed for.  I had lots of fun, unique pieces but many brides were needing many more quantities of them.  I completely understood this but I loved having my eclectic mix of props and was noticing I was getting more and more inquiries to do style shoots…which I loved!  It was such a fun way to be absolutely creative and collaborate with other vendors.  Even though I was renting props I was also always up for styling and it was a natural thing because whenever I bought a new piece, I would come up with so many ideas on how to use it!  I started to get asked to not only bring my props but to help style as well.  The more I did it, the more I was knowing this is what I meant to do!

I love this journey that I have been on the past 2 years and will continue to just see where it goes… I admit I am a true “Creative-Romantic at heart”.  I still of course have my awesome and funky props and some (that are not even on the site) have never been used…I liked the idea of having some under the radar to keep for special projects ha!  I am a lover of fashion and all things home decor and plan to keep stepping out of the box and cannot wait to see what this year will bring or projects I will be a part of!

Although I am a true lover of all things black… when summer comes around, I do try to bring out some color.  Love the bold colors of this dress and the stripes!

I have had a blast on all my shoots, bringing in props,  and styling shoots… so it was only fitting it was finally MY turn to use my props for my sister’s bridal shower!  I had been waiting for this moment and was also excited I was not gonna have to go far to set up the party!  My sister Andrea said I could do whatever I wanted… I was in heaven!  I came up with the whole theme in about an hour, yes I have “the sickness” as we creative geeks say.  I kept it all very simple and of course wish I had a large budget, but had to face reality!  My goal was to throw in my mix of modern/vintage and make this bridal shower not stuffy!  It was a perfect sunny day on June 4th, but sadly too bright for great pics, and the fact I don’t know how to shoot in bright light!  As I have been spoiled with amazing photographers, I did not have the luxury on this day… so in between setting it all up, I shot a couple casual pics… but I still hope you enjoy!

Above: I wanted a flirty name for our signature drink… no stuffy shower here!

I had to use my famous Door Table!  This seems to be a staple now my family parties.  We rented the chairs and grey table cloths, but I made the lace runners and finished the look with simple bud vases which I love.

A cute little dessert bar.  I took a vintage frame and added lace behind it and the yellow ribbon for a little pop of color.  The felt yellow flowers were a total impulse buy but ended being a cute little add in for the desserts!

Always the detail junkie…  had to have these Martha Stewart picks.

Initial napkins for Andrea and Tom.  One of my new favorite yellow vases.

The Beautiful bride to be: Andrea

Wow, I have not blogged in a long time!  It has been a crazy few months, but I guess I will catch up eventually!  These 2 photos were shot months ago, but I just loved the simplicity of this wedding photo booth.  My sister Jamie and I got in on a pic with the groom Kenny Grill.  Of course being a wedding photographer himself, the lighting was spot on… made for some great candid shots.

A legend to so many people… Elizabeth Taylor.  I have so many fond memories of watching her movies as a child.  Her beauty and grace will always be timeless…

I know this is kind of a silly post!  I cannot tell you how many times I have had people say I look like Patty Stanger though!  So much so, on New Years Eve a guy who was at the party I was at insisted he take my picture and send it to her.  He worked for her occasionally and sure enough she responded right away!  I don’t think we are twins really but yes we do rock the same haircut.  She said some nice things, I told her I watched her show… so random I love it!

Fur.  You have to rock it with attitude.  I love how classic it is and how every year it can get a new modern twist.  I am so excited that it is cold enough to wear now, us Orange county girls have only a small window to do so!

I could not resist and just bought this vintage goat hair clutch circa 1960′s!  Cannot wait to take her out…
