Her wedding was perfect.  She looked perfect.  The day was absolutley  perfect.  I am so happy for my sister Andrea and her new husband Tom.  Here are a couple casual shots I took before her wedding:

This photo shot from my iphone, even blurry is still pretty to me…

    Trying on her dress…

The photographer was none other then our close family friend Becker.  He of course took this great photo.  For more images check out his Blog

Although I am a true lover of all things black… when summer comes around, I do try to bring out some color.  Love the bold colors of this dress and the stripes!

I have had a blast on all my shoots, bringing in props,  and styling shoots… so it was only fitting it was finally MY turn to use my props for my sister’s bridal shower!  I had been waiting for this moment and was also excited I was not gonna have to go far to set up the party!  My sister Andrea said I could do whatever I wanted… I was in heaven!  I came up with the whole theme in about an hour, yes I have “the sickness” as we creative geeks say.  I kept it all very simple and of course wish I had a large budget, but had to face reality!  My goal was to throw in my mix of modern/vintage and make this bridal shower not stuffy!  It was a perfect sunny day on June 4th, but sadly too bright for great pics, and the fact I don’t know how to shoot in bright light!  As I have been spoiled with amazing photographers, I did not have the luxury on this day… so in between setting it all up, I shot a couple casual pics… but I still hope you enjoy!

Above: I wanted a flirty name for our signature drink… no stuffy shower here!

I had to use my famous Door Table!  This seems to be a staple now my family parties.  We rented the chairs and grey table cloths, but I made the lace runners and finished the look with simple bud vases which I love.

A cute little dessert bar.  I took a vintage frame and added lace behind it and the yellow ribbon for a little pop of color.  The felt yellow flowers were a total impulse buy but ended being a cute little add in for the desserts!

Always the detail junkie…  had to have these Martha Stewart picks.

Initial napkins for Andrea and Tom.  One of my new favorite yellow vases.

Wow, I have not blogged in a long time!  It has been a crazy few months, but I guess I will catch up eventually!  These 2 photos were shot months ago, but I just loved the simplicity of this wedding photo booth.  My sister Jamie and I got in on a pic with the groom Kenny Grill.  Of course being a wedding photographer himself, the lighting was spot on… made for some great candid shots.

A legend to so many people… Elizabeth Taylor.  I have so many fond memories of watching her movies as a child.  Her beauty and grace will always be timeless…

I know this is kind of a silly post!  I cannot tell you how many times I have had people say I look like Patty Stanger though!  So much so, on New Years Eve a guy who was at the party I was at insisted he take my picture and send it to her.  He worked for her occasionally and sure enough she responded right away!  I don’t think we are twins really but yes we do rock the same haircut.  She said some nice things, I told her I watched her show… so random I love it!

Fur.  You have to rock it with attitude.  I love how classic it is and how every year it can get a new modern twist.  I am so excited that it is cold enough to wear now, us Orange county girls have only a small window to do so!

I could not resist and just bought this vintage goat hair clutch circa 1960′s!  Cannot wait to take her out…

Growing up with 2 sisters there has obviously been talk of weddings one day!  We are all pretty close in age and yes our mother has only dropped a few hints of wanting marriage for only a few years (that is an understatement).  Well, the day has come…my sister Andrea is engaged!  We are all so excited for her and Tom…he fits perfectly with our quirky family.  Below is quick shot from Andrea’s iphone….

    Andrea and Tom (iphone shot)…

I am so happy for you both…formal photos to follow…!

I love the internet, you can find just about anything!  After watching one of my guilty pleasure shows (which shall remain nameless for now), I spot some great jewelry that a girl was wearing.  Well after searching in google for a bit I found it!  The line is called Alex and Chloe.  I am a huge fan of edgy jewelry, they always make such a bold statement and never go unnoticed!  Loving the brunette one pictured below…watch out blonde’s!  The Paris one reminded me of Carrie Bradshaw’s necklace from Sex and the City… I miss that show so much…

In between my projects, I plan to just blog about lots of different things.  Whether what is inspiring me at the moment, things I create, or just my style in general… I hope you all enjoy it!

Today I am blogging about my love of fashion!  I especially like high end fashion, although I cannot buy a lot of just yet.  I am also getting into “Vintage designer” fashion.  The hunt for classic pieces is so much fun and I find myself geekily going to more and more vintage trade shows!  Which brings me to the shoes pictured above.  I am a tall girl so I do have big feet to go along with them ( no I am not posting my shoe size).   Anyways, it is hard for me to come across vintage shoes in my size until I stumbled on these CHANEL ones!  They marked them 50% off!  I just HAD to get them, I mean Chanel shoes in good condition in MY size are hard to find and I needed them for my collection.  I was going to wear them all the time!  Ummmm…no, not so much.  They have been sitting in my closet and I do still really want to wear them but have not quite found the right time/outfit yet…until Now!  I was looking through Vogue magazine and saw all these shoes that were the same as my Chanel ones…it always comes back!  I will say I am shocked the chunky heel is back so much but sometimes the stilettos kill our feet, us women need a break right?  Here are a couple of my favs below:
